Legal & Privacy

This site (linsyssoft.com) is an archive of LinSys Software, a Linux engineering services firm active approximately 2004 to 2012. The original company is no longer operating, and this archive is maintained as a preservation effort focused on the KGDB kernel debugger documentation and related technical material.

Content provenance and licensing

All technical documentation reproduced here was originally published by LinSys Software on linsyssoft.com between 2004 and 2012. Source material was retrieved from the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. We’ve preserved original content with light editing for readability and structure — substantive technical content has not been altered. Specific snapshot timestamps for each page are recorded in the page metadata.

KGDB itself was distributed under open-source licensing terms (typically GPL, consistent with Linux kernel licensing). The documentation reproduced here was published on the public LinSys site without explicit license terms in the original. We treat the documentation as historical reference material under fair-use principles for technical preservation.

Privacy

This archive does not collect personal information beyond what is logged by standard web server access logs (IP address, request path, user agent, timestamp). We don’t run analytics tracking, ad networks, social media widgets, or any other third-party tracking. Server logs are retained for technical debugging purposes only and are not shared.

Comments and contact

If you submit comments via a contact form, that information is used solely for the purpose of responding to you. We don’t share contact information with third parties.

External links

This archive contains links to external sites (Wikipedia, Kernel.org, university resources, modern Linux tooling projects). We aren’t responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites.

Trademark notice

“Linux” is a registered trademark of Linus Torvalds. KGDB, when integrated into the mainline Linux kernel, is part of the Linux Foundation’s work. Mention of trade names, trademarks, or registered products is for identification only and does not imply endorsement.

Disclaimer

Technical documentation on this site refers to Linux kernel versions 2.5–2.6.15 era and is not maintained for modern kernels. Do not use this material as authoritative guidance for current Linux kernel development. For current information, consult the Linux kernel documentation tree at kernel.org.
